Up bright and early for breakfast and pack ready to load the luggage onto the coaches at 10.00. Free time around Wells then until the coaches departure at 12.10 though that was a little delayed by a traffic warden? So finally away on the second coach (B) by 1230. Arriving at the Shrubbery Hotel for […]

Extract from an email from Celia Luff of Beaworthy Flower Club. We raised £547.50 on the evening which is a wonderful amount and will certainly help our club to remain active. A perfect end to a wonderful evening. Thank you to all who supported both BFC and the choir.
What a welcome from Beaworthy Flower Club on a miserable evening, weather wise. It was a capacity audience after many more chairs were provided to accommodate them. Wow what a supper waited us after. There will be an update when they have counted the pennies and let us know how much was raised on the night? […]
This is only seven days away and is our last concert before the choir’s Tour to Wells in just 3 weeks time. That starts with a lunchtime concert at Mint Methodist Church in Exeter starting 12noon on the 8th March.
Update on the Tregadillett concert in that the net total aided was £297, and the Church also made a donation of £50 to the soloist – Charlotte Lancaster towards her Girl Guides trip to Norway/Sweden this coming summer.
It was a lovely evening concert with challenging acoustics but as usual we coped and just sang louder and better. Up to the challenge? Yes. Many thanks to Charlotte Lancaster our guest soloist who played some beautiful pieces. Below are a couple of photographs taken by Sue Vernon, who we thank.
